Build a senior practice. With senior accountability.

The operating model

What “institutional bench, focused-firm accountability” means for the people in the firm.

The firm operates a three-tier delivery bench supported by 31 subject-matter specialists across six service-line clusters. The model balances institutional capacity with partner-level accountability on every engagement — see the Leadership page for the full framework.

From a career perspective the implications are concrete:

  • Senior practitioners (Veterans) hold engagement accountability through delivery — there is no hand-off to junior teams after scoping
  • Engagement scope and complexity reflect the experience tier of the practitioner leading it — deliberate matching, not random allocation
  • Specialist work is performed by named specialists on the engagement letter — credibility transfers to the individual, not just the firm name
  • Senior practitioners stay close to client work — the firm's structure does not abstract practitioners into pure management roles unless they choose that path
  • Deliverables are reviewed and signed off by named senior practitioners — every deliverable carries someone's professional reputation
Who we build around

The senior practitioner profile.

The firm is built around senior practitioners — Veterans in the operating model — with the depth of experience and the credential base that institutional clients expect from the senior partner on their engagement. Generally:

  • 25-30+ years of experience in one of the firm's service-line clusters: EHS and process safety; ISO management systems; financial controls and SOX/ICFR; enterprise and operational risk; energy and electrical safety; ESG and sustainability
  • Professional credentials appropriate to the cluster — CA, CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE for financial controls clusters; CIH, CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA, lead auditor credentials for EHS clusters; equivalent established credentials in adjacent specialisms
  • Big Four or institutional-firm background where the cluster context calls for it
  • Direct senior client-facing experience — not pure delivery management, not pure technical work without client accountability
  • Demonstrable engagement-level accountability history — situations where you have been the accountable senior through engagement delivery

The firm also hires Senior Consultants (15-20 years) and Consultants (5-10 years) into the bench, but the firm's positioning rests on the Veteran tier; senior hiring is the priority.

Geography

Nine countries; permanent presence; remote-friendly for the right profile.

The firm maintains permanent presence in nine countries — India, USA, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, UK, Germany, Singapore, Australia. Practitioner hiring follows the engagement footprint: priority locations are wherever senior bench capacity strengthens client delivery.

Senior practitioners with the right credential base, engagement history, and demonstrated independence are considered remote-friendly where the engagement load permits — the firm operates as a distributed practice by design, with senior delivery anchored in the geography the client work demands.

Express interest

How to begin a conversation.

The firm does not maintain a continuously open jobs board. Senior hiring is conversation-led — when the profile matches what the bench needs at the time, we move quickly. Otherwise we maintain a relationship for the right future opportunity.

To express interest:

  1. Email careers@theramc.com with a one-page summary of your engagement history (not a long CV) and a sentence on which service-line cluster fits your practice
  2. A senior practitioner will respond within five business days to confirm whether there is a current fit, a near-term fit, or whether the interest is best kept on the bench-development radar
  3. If there is a fit, the next conversation is a discovery call with the relevant service-line lead — technical, substantive, no junior intake interviews
What the firm offers

The senior-practitioner proposition.

  • Engagement substance — institutional clients, regulated industries, complex assurance work with national or multinational reach
  • Engagement accountability — the kind of partner-level client ownership that large firms reserve for their most senior partners, available at the Veteran tier from day one
  • Specialist focus — deep practice within your cluster, not generalist deployment
  • Senior peers — a bench of ~24 senior practitioners and 31 subject-matter specialists to draw on for cross-cluster engagement work
  • Direct firm influence — Veterans shape practice strategy, hiring, and engagement posture; the firm is built to be senior-led in operations, not just delivery
